Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?
– Proverbs 24:11-12 (NIV)
This passage is a scary one. It basically says that “I didn’t know about it” is not an excuse. God cares that we not just pay lip service to bringing justice to the weak and helpless but that we actually do it.
But in the face of an evil like abortion, the problem feels so big that we don’t know where to start.
At our Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, we hope to, by the Spirit’s enablement, prod you to consider what you might do to care for the weak and helpless and introduce you to a ministry in our area that you can get involved with, whether in big or small ways.
Care Net PRCs is a Christ-centered ministry (located in Manassas, Warrenton, and Woodbridge) giving men and women facing unplanned pregnancies resources, assistance, and ultimately the hope of the Gospel. This ministry has not only seen many babies saved, but many moms and dads too who were faithfully pointed to Jesus. Learn more about Care Net PRCs…
They will be joining us on January 31st to share during our Sunday class hour who they are, what they do, and how we can help. Though they will be with us all day to get to know us and answer any questions, we want to strongly encourage you to come to the Sunday class hour as that will be the primary opportunity to learn about this ministry.
Baby Bottle Campaign
In addition to learning about them, we will be participating in their Baby Bottle Campaign in the weeks following Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This is a fun, easy way for us to contribute financially to a ministry that relies completely on the donations of others. Keep your eye out as more information about how to contribute will be given in the following weeks.
We hope you’ll join us this year for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday not only by coming but also by praying that God will use it to make us more passionate about his glory in our communities.
