Our Ministries

Application Groups- These small groups are our primary formal means of seeking to apply the Word to each others lives.   We see these as vital for our growth as Christians and as a church.   The groups meet each Sunday (except 5th Sundays) @ 9:30AM.

Youth Ministry -The youth ministry (7th-12th grade) at Grace Church exists to link arms with parents in pointing their young people to trust-filled relationships with Christ and building a uniquely God-centered worldview into them.  You can find an extended treatment of our philosophy of Youth and Children’s Ministry here.  On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month the youth and their parents meet in a home at 6:30 PM for dinner, Bible instruction, and small groups.  They have their own Sunday School class every Sunday at 9:30AM.  They also participate in regular youth events ranging from conferences to camping. Contact Corey Shepherd at cshepherd@gcgv.org.

Preschool Ministry -The preschool ministry (Birth-5 years) at Grace Church maintains the goal of creating a safe and loving environment in which the children entrusted to our care are able to learn about the character of God, discover Biblical truth, and learn what it means to follow Jesus Christ.  You can find an extended treatment of our philosophy of Youth and Children’s Ministry here.

Children’s Ministry – The Children’s ministry (Kindergarten-6th grade) at Grace Church exists to invest Biblical truths in children and their parents in order to create a God centered world view and point them to faith in Jesus Christ. You can find an extended treatment of our philosophy of Youth and Children’s Ministry hereAge-specific children’s classes meet during the Bible Study hour at 9:30AM. During the worship hour at 10:45 ‘Grace Kids’ and ‘Grace Juniors’ meet in age specific groups for children through 6th grade. Contact Corey Shepherd at cshepherd@gcgv.org for more information.

Women’s Ministry – Ladies and daughters gather for various Bible studies and fellowships throughout the year in which Biblical Womanhood is explored from the Scriptures and applied to daily living.

Young Adult Ministry–A group of college students, single, and young married couples meets together two Sunday nights per month for fellowship, worship and teaching.   We’d love to have you join us!  For more information contact Matt Holtom.

Men’s Ministry–Our approach to Men’s Ministry is centered around 1:1 pairings that meet for Bible reading, discussion and prayer.   In the 1:1 Ministry, pairs of men meet get together on the basis of their own schedules, once a week for about 45 minutes.   Those participating in 1:1 are provided with a passage of Scripture and discussion questions about that passage for each meeting.  For more information contact Colin Searcy.

English Club–On Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-8PM volunteers teach a free English class at Glenkirk Elementary School for non-native speakers.  If you would like to attend, we would love to have you.  Childcare is provided.  For more information contact Corey Shepherd at cshepherd@gcgv.org.

Music Ministry – Since music is a tool through which we can both remember and enjoy God’s truth, we desire to make full use of it in every area of the church. If this is an area you feel God has gifted you in please contact Rod Fultz at rfultz@gcgv.org to discuss current opportunities to serve the Lord through music.

Sound Ministry – It takes a good bit of technical coordination to make our Sunday morning celebrations possible, from set up to adjusting levels to take down. We can use ALL the help we can get! Please contact Jamie Scott at Jhscott10181@comcast.net.

Media Ministry – The media ministry is responsible for much of the church’s material including the weekly bulletins, church flyers, and the website. Help is always needed with this important task. If you are interested in possibly serving in the media ministry please contact Kristy Shepherd at kristyshepherd@gmail.com.

Grace Roadies – This ‘hands-on’ ministry of workers unloads, sets up and takes down our equipment every week at Glenkirk Elementary. This is always a pressing need in our church! Even if you are brand new to Grace, we welcome you to participate. Please contact John Cornett at mondaymonday@comcast.net.
